Fergus the Bavarian Hound, a dog of curious cheer,
With a belly like a bottomless pit, and a bark that’s loud and clear.
He wanders through the living room, his nose up in the air,
In search of crumbs and morsels that might be hiding there.
He’s always on a mission, this dog of constant hunger,
He’d eat a whole buffet for lunch, and ask for more for supper.
His eyes are wide and pleading, his tail wags with delight,
But leave your sandwich unattended, and Fergus takes a bite!
He’s got a voice like thunder, it echoes down the street,
He barks at squirrels, mailmen, and even leaves that fleet.
At times his noise is charming, at times it’s quite a chore,
Especially when he does his tricks and does a wee on the floor.
Yet despite his strange behavior, he’s loved by one and all,
For Fergus brings a joy to life that no one can forestall.
His quirks are what make him special, his heart so full of love,
He’s our dear Bavarian Hound, a gift from up above.
So here’s to Fergus, hungry hound, with barks that fill the day,
We wouldn’t trade his woofs and wees for anything, we say.
For in his furry paws, we’ve found a friend so true and dear,
A dog who’s always by our side, spreading laughter, love, and cheer.
